“Adventure, romance, sex, murder, violence, and more sex, from the cold north of Lincolnshire to the jungles of West Africa, the author takes us on many exciting journeys in this page-turner of a book. Using information that can only be obtained by insiders knowledge, the author takes us through the skills and excitement of flying; the ins and outs of operating ships and a shipping company (and the associated fiddles and frauds); and the detailed description of a SAS operation against modern-day pirates – all handled with panache, humor and an eye for detail. An excellent read, buy it and enjoy.”

A book that will not disappoint
“I say, give HM’s first novel a go and dive into the murky waters created by the detritus of human interaction linked to a Lincolnshire ferry company. You will be taken on journeys that illustrate how easily the sins of greed, pride, wrath, envy, and lust can corrupt and result in fraud, adultery, domestic abuse, rape, blackmail, smuggling, piracy, kidnap, and murder. Fortunately, these are balanced out by the virtuous so that love, generosity, courage, justice and hope happily win out in the end.”

“Can almost smell and taste the sea. Draws the reader into the murky world of business and enterprise, centered on a busy ferry service, mixed with adventure and suspense not to mention a smattering of erotic sex! Highly recommended.”

Following an illustrious career, spanning over 40 years, HM joined the RN’s Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service followed by the Merchant Navy
All of which all led him to become General Manager of the World, well that’s actually a ship called ‘The World’.
His travels took him from the frozen arctic to the balmy tropics.
During his time, HM has encountered wars ranging from the Congo in the south to the Cod Wars in the north, then Cyprus, and finally the Falklands, as well as humanitarian disaster relief.
Now retired, HM has published his first novel, ‘Murky Waters’, a somewhat saucy, nautical crime mystery saga.
When not writing, HM spends his spare time flying a beautiful Robin Regent airplane and is currently working on his second novel, ‘Hebridean Waters’, a sequel to his first book.
